Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 20, 2026
Outlit Labs Inc. ("Outlit", "we", "us", or "our") provides software that helps teams organize customer context across the tools they already use. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal data when you use our website, applications, and connected integrations, including Slack.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact information, such as name, email address, company name, workspace information, and authentication data.
- Usage and technical information, such as product usage events, device and browser information, logs, diagnostics, and support interactions.
- Connected integration data, such as information made available through integrations you choose to connect to Outlit, including Slack, email, billing, analytics, CRM, calendar, and similar systems.
Slack Data
If you connect Slack to Outlit, we may process:
- Slack workspace and integration information needed to maintain the connection and provide the Slack integration.
- Slack message content, reactions, thread context, and related conversation context when needed to respond to app activity, analyze conversations, or generate customer context.
- Structured records derived from Slack conversations, such as extracted customer facts, summaries, classifications, and links to customer or contact records.
Outlit does not retain raw Slack message content, reactions, or thread context after processing.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal data to:
- provide, operate, secure, and improve Outlit;
- authenticate users and manage workspaces;
- connect and maintain third-party integrations;
- provide support, troubleshoot issues, and monitor performance;
- generate customer context, analytics, and workflow outputs requested by our customers;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How We Use Slack Data
If Slack is connected, we use Slack data to:
- enable Slack-based product functionality, including responding to app activity in Slack;
- understand conversation context related to customers, accounts, and support activity;
- extract and store structured customer facts or summaries derived from Slack conversations;
- support security, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability of the Slack integration.
We do not use customer data, including Slack data, to train generalized AI models.
3. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain customer accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
More specifically:
- Account, workspace, and service data are generally retained while the customer account remains active and for a limited period afterward where needed for legal, security, accounting, or contractual reasons.
- Raw Slack message content, reactions, and thread context are processed to provide the Slack integration, but are not retained by Outlit after processing.
- Slack-derived structured records such as extracted facts, summaries, classifications, and customer links are retained for as long as the related customer account remains active in Outlit.
- If a customer disconnects their Slack integration, or if we receive and verify a deletion request covering Slack-related personal data, we delete stored Slack-related data from our systems within 14 business days as part of our normal deletion processes.
- Deleted Slack-related data may remain in short-lived logs or backups only for the limited period reasonably necessary to complete deletion propagation through our systems, and within the same 14 business day deletion window.
4. Access, Export, Correction, and Deletion Requests
Individuals and authorized customer administrators may request access to, export of, correction of, or deletion of personal data by contacting us at privacy@outlit.ai.
To help us process the request, please include enough information for us to identify the relevant records, such as:
- your name and email address;
- the customer, organization, or workspace name;
- any relevant account, integration, or workspace details associated with the request;
- a description of the request.
We may take reasonable steps to verify identity and authority before fulfilling a request.
If you want Slack-related data removed because an integration is no longer needed, you may also disconnect the Slack integration from Outlit. We will then process deletion of stored Slack-related data as described above.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share personal data with trusted service providers and subprocessors that help us operate Outlit, such as hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, email delivery, support tooling, and AI service providers. You can review our current subprocessors here: https://www.outlit.ai/subprocessors.
We may also disclose personal data:
- if required by law or legal process;
- to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Outlit, our customers, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
6. International Transfers
Outlit is based in the United States. Personal data may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including measures intended to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
