Add Outlit to Slack and use customer context where your team already works

Outlit connects Slack to the customer context already stored in Outlit, including billing, product usage, support history, CRM activity, and Slack conversation data. Teams use it to ask questions in Slack, receive proactive updates, and keep customer signals tied to the right account in Outlit.

Installation continues on app.outlit.ai. The Add to Slack button takes you to Outlit sign-in first, then redirects you to Integrations so you can complete Slack authorization for your workspace.

What Outlit does

  • Outlit connects Slack to customer history, billing signals, product usage, support activity, and CRM context stored in Outlit.
  • After Slack is connected, team members can ask Outlit questions inside Slack and get answers grounded in the customer data already synced into the platform.
  • Outlit can also use connected Slack conversation context to extract structured customer facts and attach them to the right customer or contact records.

How it integrates with Slack

@Mention responses

When someone @mentions Outlit in a connected Slack channel or thread, the bot responds in-thread with customer context from Outlit.

Notification and report posts

When you configure reporting or notification channels in Outlit, the app can post findings, summaries, and proactive updates into the selected Slack channel.

Conversation-based context

Messages in connected Slack channels can be processed by Outlit to extract customer facts, summarize relevant context, and connect Slack activity to customer records.

Install and configure

Install from app.outlit.ai, then configure how Outlit works in Slack

The Slack app is installed from the authenticated Outlit platform on app.outlit.ai. After installation, finish setup in Outlit by choosing the channels and reporting behavior you want the app to use.

If your team wants Outlit to work in private channels, invite the bot to those channels before expecting it to post or read content there.

Step 1

Sign in at app.outlit.ai

Open Outlit on app.outlit.ai and create an account or sign in to the workspace where you want to use the Slack app.

Step 2

Open Integrations and start Slack install

After sign-in, go to Integrations in Outlit and choose Slack. The Add to Slack flow continues from the platform app.

Step 3

Authorize Slack and pick channels

Approve the Slack permissions for the workspace you want to connect, then finish channel and reporting setup in Outlit.

Step 4

Use Outlit in Slack

Mention Outlit in a connected channel or thread to ask questions. Invite the bot to private channels before expecting it to read or post there.
